Devilry's Doorway

Created for the Appx. N Jam 2026. 

Inspired by Edgar Rice Burrough's John Carter of Mars series and a Western 70s pulp paperback I bought that had a cigarette ad in the middle, Devilry's Doorway is a planetary romance science fantasy adventure for FRONTIER SCUM and other -Borg systems. 

Step through the titular portal and arrive on the alien world of Orboem - a place of terrifying alien beasts, warring factions, political intrigue, and swashbuckling adventure. To make adventure even more enticing, this world's exotic gravity and atmosphere grant humans superhuman strength.

This booklet consists largely of a 10-location hexcrawl, a description of three factions, and 20 random encounters (including NPC and creature stats), to provide an open-ended sandbox experience. With FRONTIER SCUM's elegant and rules-light mechanics, you can easily transpose your favourite OSR dungeons into this world further populate the hexes.
