Created for the 36-word RPG Jam.
Skim! is a competitive game for 2 or more players. Players will compete to gather as much treasure as possible... by skim-reading through a TTRPG adventure module.
You will need:
- A pre-written TTRPG adventure module - why not try The Black Glacier?
- Pencils, pens, or highlighters - at least one per player.
- A stopwatch, smartphone, or other timekeeping device.

This is such a cute idea! Angel and I agree that doing this with books, especially like children's books, would also be terrific. The discussions about what's a treasure and what's a monster would be fantastic 🤣

Absolutely! In fact, I didn't think about it til now, but our local library often sells leftover books super cheap. We could probably grab some and use those for the game!
Heck, I never even considered how using cheap books would both give them new life and also be a cool game mechanic. There are like Half-Price Bookstores and stuff all over, and it's usually pretty easy to find a book for $1 or less... 🤔
